Orillia Alliance Church – November 10, 2019 – Remembrance Day Sunday Tribute

This Sunday, November 10:  Pastor Bill will continue with our sermon series; God’s Grand Narrative. We will explore the Ultimate Sacrifice from Genesis 22.

 

Kids’ Club:  Children may go directly to their class, on the lower level, at 10 am. Rachel & Victoria will greet them with a muffin and fruit juice drink before commencing the lesson.

 

Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Shoe Box” donations are due next Sunday, November 17. Please bring in by next Sunday or you will need to bring them to the local pick up point located at Calvary Pentecostal Church.

 

Salvation Army Red Kettle: OAC is looking after the kettle on Monday, December 2 from 10 am to 8 pm. A sign-up sheet will be available and your service of 1 or 2 hours ensures the needs of those in the Orillia area will be met.

 

Men’s Small Group: A couple of men have expressed interest in getting together for the purpose of study and prayer for one hour a week. More details to follow, but please ask Pastor Bill for more info if interested.

 

Men’s Breakfast will next be held on Saturday, December 7.  Men, please join us for an informal get together and breakfast at the Curling Club beside Tudhope Park at 8 am.

 

Church family luncheon: This is a great time of fellowship following this upcoming morning communion service. Sunday, December 1 luncheon will be held after the communion service in the lower level.

 

OAC Community Resources: Information cards are now available outlining the resources being offered to our community. These include ALPHA (life questions and marriage), Marriage Mentoring, Life’s Healing Choices and CAP money course. These are fully explained on our web page or ask Pastor Graham or Bill for more information.

 

Prayer meeting:  A group has been gathering for prayer concerns from our community and beyond. You are invited to attend at the Freeman home at 12 Cowan St from 7 pm – 8 pm on Sunday evening, November 10.
